Academic Program

The academic program at West Hills Christian School is well rounded and challenging.  West Hills Christian School students consistently score above the national average on annually administered Standford Acheivement Tests.

Curriculum at West Hills Christian School strongly emphasizes math, grammar and reading.  Educational materials are carefully selected for each basic subject--using a combination of secular and Christian material.  A curriculum committee comprised of faculty, administration and parents reviews and prayerfully selects educational materials for all subjects.

Class sizes range from 18-26 students.

In a continuing effort to advance the educational needs of all students, West Hills Christian School offers a full day kindergarten program, as well as a half day kindergarten program.

In addition to the core subjects, students participate weekly in chapel, science lab (K-8), computer lab (grades 3-6), library class (K-6), music (K-6), art literacy, and physical education (K-8).  Seventh and eighth grade students also have the opportunity to select a number of electives.

Students in the 8th grade have the opportunity to travel on an educational trip to Washington, DC.
