Sixth graders participate in one enrichment activity each day:  PE, Music, STEM lab, Science lab, and Art.

Seventh and eighth graders have PE twice a week, and have an elective class twice a week. Some elective options include:

• Spring Musical (This year is Disney’s The Little Mermaid)
• Various art classes
• STEM Lab
• Worship team

Seventh and eighth graders may also participate in band and vocal groups that take place before school.

Unique among the educational experiences your child will participate in at West Hills are the overnight trips taken throughout the course of the middle school program. These are highlights in our school calendar, anticipated by students long before they actually arrive at the middle school years.

• 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City
• 7th grade trip to a Pacific Northwest landmark (the destination changes yearly, but past trips have included the Ape Caves, Pittock Mansion, Oregon Zoo, Hoyt Arboretum, etc.)
• 7th/8th grade retreat
• 6th grade Outdoor School
